Terms of use

This translation is provided for convenience. The German version is legally authoritative.

1. Scope and provider

These terms govern use of the “What's the Fridge?” app and website provided by TempArts – Pascal Barzewski, Breite Str. 23c, 38268 Lengede, Germany. You accept them when registering.

2. Service

The app helps manage pantry stock, shared shopping lists, recipes and recipe images. Features may evolve. No uninterrupted availability or permanence of a specific feature is guaranteed.

3. Account and age

Personal accounts are intended for people aged 16 or older. Children under 16 may not create their own account. Supervised use of a household managed by a parent or guardian is possible. Keep credentials confidential and report unusual use.

4. Shared households

Household members may view and change shared stock, shopping lists and recipes. Share invite codes only with intended people. Other members may add, modify or remove shared data.

5. Your content

You remain responsible for text and images you provide and must hold the necessary rights. Illegal, harmful or infringing content is prohibited. You grant us only the limited permission technically necessary to operate the app.

6. Food information

Quantity comparisons, expiry information, product links and recipe suggestions are aids. Independently assess food using smell, appearance, storage, manufacturer instructions and applicable safety advice. The app does not make a binding statement that food is safe to eat.

7. Acceptable use

Load attacks, bypassing access controls, access to another household, abusive registrations and harmful uploads are prohibited. Material violations may lead to restricted access or account suspension after appropriate review.

8. Termination and deletion

You can delete your account in the app or on the account deletion page. Personal login data is removed. Shared data remains for other members and is disconnected from your identity. If you are the final member, the household and its recipe images are deleted.

9. Warranty and liability

Statutory warranty rights apply. Liability is unlimited for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence involving an essential contractual obligation, liability is limited to the typically foreseeable loss. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.

10. Changes

Material changes will be announced appropriately. Where consent is legally required, it will be requested separately.

11. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, unless mandatory consumer rules in your country of residence prevail. Statutory jurisdictions remain unaffected. The German version controls.
